Trio Plus floor protection products have been selected for use during the sold-out Southbank centre production of Hotel Medea this summer. Set over six hours with a midnight curtain call, the show is based on Greek mythology, cleverly designed and features high levels of audience interaction.

Hotel Medea is part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, which is itself part of the modern Olympic and Paralympics games. The four year celebration reaches its culmination this year after offering 10 million chances to see world-class events for free up and down the UK since 2008.

Trio Plus were called in by the Southbank Centre venue, who wanted an unbranded temporary hard floor protection film. The clear film is rolled out in the Hayward Gallery to protect composite floor tiles from fake blood used during the show.

Supplied in a roll format, Trio Plus temporary hard floor protection products are frequently used in large scale renovation projects, public works and TV/ film productions. The clear and unbranded hard floor protector is well suited to use in public spaces because it allows the event or building itself to remain the focus with no distracting and unsightly logos stealing the limelight.

The film can be rolled out by hand or applicator, making it possible to cover large expanses of flooring quickly and with the minimum of fuss. The film is backed by a self-adhesive layer which is eco-friendly, kind to the floor and durable through 45 days of constant use. When it place it is non-slip, making it safe for use in even the busiest of areas.

Ram Board Hard Floor Protection Sales Go From Strength to Strength

The UK sales of the award-winning Ram Board hard floor protector continue to go from strength to strength according to its UK distributor. Surrey-based Trio Plus introduced the tough US-made temporary floor protector less than 12 months ago, adding to its own brands of hard floor and carpet protection.

Since making its debut last September, Ram Board has proven to be the product of choice for a host of prestigious projects, gracing the floors of top five star hotels, commercial developments and film shoots up and down the country. Trio Plus has now confirmed a further three substantial orders for the Tomorrow’s Flooring Awards ‘Top Product’ title recipient.

As it continues to renovate its campus, the University of Sheffield has placed a third order for Ram Board. It has been a regular fixture all semester as ongoing works continue. The fact that it is vapour permeable makes it an ideal addition to any refurbishment project as it can be laid immediately after the floor has gone down with no curing time needed.

John Taylor High School also requested a delivery of the hard and valuable floor protector, joining a number of education institutions snapping up the product ahead of a busy exam period. It was laid across the gym, protecting the sports hall surface from desks, chairs, bags and footwear as the final year students completed their studies.

Grantham Hospital has also placed an order for Ram Board to protect its floors.

Known for its heavy duty capabilities, the temporary floor protector is tough enough to withstand the weight of a fork lift truck while keeping the floor underneath problem free. It is supplied in roll format for quick and easy application, making it suitable for covering large expanses and providing last minute floor protection.

As well as it’s Tomorrow’s Flooring award, Ram Board has also been recognised for its level of eco-friendliness. It is made entirely from recycled materials - cardboard, paper, ply-fibres and reinforcers.

Summer Parties Don’t Have To Be a Washout with Temporary Carpet Protection

June and July so far may have been more damp squib than Great British summer with flood warnings in place across much of the country but that doesn’t mean summer parties need to be a washout. After some of the wettest months on records and scenes of flood after flood, moving planned gatherings and special events inside could create huge problems but, it can be made easier with the use of temporary carpet protection film.

With waterlogged gardens comes mud and dirt – both of which can stain carpets and leave the house looking worse for wear. Rather than cancel a party due to the prospect of a messy clean up, temporary carpet protection film can be quickly and easily applied to all carpeted areas including halls and stairways.

Supplied in roll format by Trio Plus, the film can be rolled out the day before and removed the day after. Designed to be unobtrusive, the carpet protector will not make guests feel ill at ease or unwanted but, it will provide a moisture-proof barrier between spilled drinks, dropped food, mud and dirt and the carpet itself. The film is non-slip, making it safe for guests to walk on without the threat of a fall. Unlike many carpet protection products, the Trio Plus film is unbranded – this means it will blend more easily into the environment and not be off putting for guests. It also makes it suitable for use in corporate functions where image is everything.

Trio Plus’ temporary carpet protector is backed with an eco-friendly adhesive, facilitating the coverage of large areas quickly. It is reverse wound so can be applied by hand or, with the assistance of an applicator tool. After the party is over and the guests have left, the film can be peeled up. The adhesive leaves no residue and is safe to use around children, pets and those with chemical sensitivity.

The carpet protector can be combined with Tacky-Mat doorway mats, which can replace traditional mats at exterior and interior doors. Once in place, a adhesive layer captures dirt from the soles of shoes as the mat is walked over, helping to prevent germs and dirt from entering the house.

Carpet protection film starts from just £20.00. To find out more about Trio Plus temporary floor protection products and to order online, visit http://www.trioplus.co.uk
