Historic Cambridge College Chooses Trio Plus Temporary Floor Protection Product

The historic Jesus College Cambridge has chosen Trio Plus temporary floor protection products for use during an upcoming event.

Founded in 1496 and distinctive for its collection of buildings taken over from the nunnery of St Mary and St Radegund which today form the core of the campus. With more than 7000 undergraduate and graduate alumni, the college is a busy institution which hosts numerous conferences and other events, alongside its own community activities each semester.

In preparation for an upcoming event, it has joined a host of prestigious locations both in the UK and overseas by placing an order for temporary floor protection products from Trio Plus. The College opted for 200 m2 super heavy duty carpet protection film, which is one of several grades of carpet protection available from the Surrey-based firm.

Offering unbeatable security against spills, dust, dirt and damage, super heavy duty carpet protection film can be used to protect carpets in residential, commercial and industrial settings. Supplied with a self-adhesive back, the carpet protector can be affixed for periods up to 45 days. Easy to use and designed to efficiently cover large flat carpeted areas quickly, the protective surface can be swept or mopped to clear debris such as mud, paint or liquids without fear of disintegrating or splitting.

As with all Trio Plus temporary carpet protectors, the heavy duty film is supplied unbranded – meaning no logos are on show to public or visitors when the product is used in a highly visible location. It is non-slip and safe to use in busy areas such as hallways and entrances.

Ram Board Hard Floor Protection From Trio Plus Shipped Off To Singapore

Trio Plus’ award-winning temporary hard floor protector, Ram Board will be shipped off to Singapore this weekend following successful trials with industrial over manufacturer, Hedinair. The Ram Board consignment will accompany a number of Hedinair ovens to the tropical Asian islands, where it will be put to work protecting the floors of a Rolls Royce plant when its new machinery is installed next month.

Based in Essex, Hedinair design, manufacture and install industrial ovens of all shapes and sizes, from small batch ovens to custom built production conveyorised versions for tasks such as paint testing and tray drying. As a producer of ovens for aerospace, defence and heat treatment, it is vastly experienced working with large scale installs.

With its custom made ovens weighing over 6 tonnes and requiring the presence of fork lift trucks, Hedinair trialled a roll of Ram Board from Trio Plus as a means of protecting the expensive floors at Rolls Royce while installation is completed. The US-made Ram Board hard floor protector passed its tests with flying colours and will be packed into a container with the ovens ready for use in Asia.

Made entirely from recycled materials, Ram Board was designed to withstand the weight of forklifts and other materials used commonly on US construction sites. In addition to use in housing projects, it has been employed extensively on Hollywood film sets as a temporary floor protection product and is popular with large scale commercial applications including five-star hotel renovations. Its layers of cardboard, paper, ply-fibers and reinforcers are tough, durable and water resistant.

Supplied on rolls, Ram Board’s breathable layer allows new floors to cure and once fixed in place, will stay flat and true making it completely safe for use in even the busiest of environments. It is ideal for covering large areas of floor quickly. As a tough temporary floor protector, it provides a virtually impenetrable barrier between anything that could damage a floor and the flooring material itself. It can be used to protect valuable and hard floors as well as concrete, wood, tile and stone.

Ram Board is available exclusively from Trio Plus in the UK. To find out more and to order, visit http://www.trioplus.co.uk or call 0845 619 6255.

Floor Protection Company Checks In To Hotel Refurb

Temporary floor protection products retailer Trio Plus has checked in for a number of hotel refurbishments this month. The Surrey-based firm has supplied 1000 m2 of its carpet protection film to the Greenwich Novotel in London and shipped a consignment of Ram Board to the Hilton hotel in Frankfurt.

The 4-star Novotel is located close to the National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory and the O2, making it a popular choice with leisure travellers. Its carpeted areas will be protected during upcoming renovations by Trio Plus standard temporary carpet protection film. Supplied on a roll, the film is designed to be rolled out and applied by hand or applicator to carpets and rugs prior to works commencing.

Secured by an eco-friendly adhesive, the carpet protector can remain in place for 45 days, providing a protective barrier between builder’s mess, dirt, paint, dust and spills and the delicate fibres of the carpet beneath. The film has already proven to be a popular choice with commercial spaces this summer as its unbranded finish means it can be comfortably used in public and high-visibility spaces.

Since being introduced to the UK last September, the award-winning Ram Board temporary hard floor protection solution has become a Trio Plus best seller. Developed in the USA for use on major construction sites and Hollywood film sets, the 100% recycled product has been snapped up by several TV production companies, five-star hotels and important landmarks over the last 12 months.

Available in Great Britain exclusively from Trio Plus, an order has been shipped out to the Hilton hotel in Frankfurt to be used on set during the filming of a new Honda car commercial. Strong and durable, Ram Board is a popular addition to many on location shoots as its hard top protects the floor underneath from damage by heavy cameras and other TV equipment. Despite its name, Ram Board is supplied in a roll for easy application.

Both the carpet protection film and Ram Board hard floor protector can be used in residential and commercial projects.  To find out more about Trio Plus and to buy any of its temporary floor protection products online, visit http://www.trioplus.co.uk
