Prepare For a Spring Clean With Temporary Floor Protection Products

With Britain in the midst of a cold snap worthy of any winter, it would be difficult to say that spring has properly sprung. But with a number of bank holidays to look forward to, and adverse weather conditions preventing many people from leaving their houses, thousands of people across the country will be using the coming weeks to get a head start on their spring cleaning. Whether they are carrying out some basic home improvements, going for a wholesale renovation or simply giving their home a thorough spring clean, many of those considering tackling these tasks will be searching for carpet and hard wood floor protection products in order to keep their floors pristine in the coming weeks.

When a carpeted room is due to be redecorated, there are naturally an awful lot of things that can go wrong flooring wise. Wallpaper paste can ruin a carpet for good, dust and debris from moving furniture around can cause discolouration and paint or varnish spillages are always a risk. Carpet protection products in a range of different thicknesses and strengths help to keep the carpets underneath clean and protected during the decorating process, ensuring that they will look perfect when they are unveiled at the end. Supplied in handy rolls which are easy to apply, the carpet protection films use a water-based adhesive which is kind to carpets, and will disappear from sight once used.

Stair wells are a notoriously tricky area to tackle if cleaning or redecorating, which is why many people choose to approach the renovation of their staircases around bank holidays, when they have some extra time. The stairs are also a notoriously difficult area to manoeuvre if there are contractors or builders working in other areas of the house; men carrying furniture and paint up and down stairs all day can cause major damage. Stair protection products are designed to be especially easy to apply, with a layer of adhesive on the inside which sticks to the stairs quickly and effectively. The film protects from dirty feet, paint spillages and other leakage problems, and is available in a variety of thicknesses depending on its purpose.

Hard floors also need to be sheltered and protected when calling in builders, assembling new furniture or applying a lick of paint. The fleece protection will keep hard floors in kitchens, bathrooms or living areas unspoiled and help to defend against average footfall or traffic, as well as any spillages which might occur.  Temporary hard wood floor protection products are suitable for use on wooden floors, tiles and laminate flooring, and can be left in place for up to five weeks; plenty of time to get the spring cleaning done.

Trio Plus’ Surrey Showroom Now Open With Range of Floor Protection Products on Display

Choosing floor protection solutions in preparation for renovation or a special event, whether it be commercial or domestic, can be a tough process. With so many options to choose from, and the possibility of ruined flooring if the wrong product is chosen, it is important to get the right advice and choose the appropriate product. Trio Plus are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of temporary floor protection products, and with their showroom now open in Epsom, Surrey, they are available to field all questions and offer advice about all types of floor protection.

The team at Trio Plus have been providing both carpet and hard floor protection products to companies and residences across the globe for a decade, and as such, they have accumulated a vast amount of knowledge and know-how when it comes to keeping floors protected. The high-quality products have been exported to such cities as Nice, Hollywood, Dubai and Paris, and have been used for a plethora of different purposes, from refurbishing stately homes to protecting existing floors whilst TV shows are filmed. This extensive and varied experience means that the staff at Trio Plus are well-placed to offer detailed advice on unique flooring situations; anyone with doubts or queries about their choice of floor protection need only head to the showroom for assistance.

Domestic tasks such as decorating or renovation often require some form of floor protection; medium levels of footfall from builders or contractors and the risk of spillages are all placing carpets and hard floors at risk. Many also choose to host parties or special events at their home, and lay down temporary carpet protection products in order to prevent stilettoes from damaging laminated floors or red wine stains on carpets. Trio Plus have a huge variety of products to choose from which can safeguard against such happenings, but applying the right one for the right event can require some advice and guidance from the experts.

Floor protection products are also used for purposes on a much larger scale. School halls regularly lay down floor protection during exam periods to prevent marking floors with chairs and tables. Recent orders from the high fashion brand Burberry and from the production company behind a highly successful ITV drama demonstrate the versatility of the products. But with so much riding on the effectiveness of these products, it is vital to get the right product for the right job. The team at Trio Plus’ showroom can offer advice regarding all projects, large and small, and ensure that the correct product is purchased for the right purpose.

Two Major Movies Order Trio Plus Temporary Floor Protection For Use During Filming

Two major motion pictures have become the latest in a long reel of film and TV productions to order temporary floor protection products from Trio Plus. Both the Alan Partridge movie and The Muppetts…Again! will use a selection of solutions from Trio Plus during important location shots.

Based on the hit TV series of the same name, The Alan Partridge Movie is a British comedy starring Steve Coogan, Colm Meaney, Sean Pertwee, Anna Maxwell Martin. It is set to be released later this summer. When filming started in January, Trio Plus’ temporary carpet protector and premium fleece hard floor protector joined the cast on set.

Carpet protection provides a barrier between the carpet and any liquid spills as well as falling dust and dirt or mud tracked in on bottoms of shoes and heels from outside. The Trio Plus range of carpet protection as provided to the production company includes a selection of protection grades up to 100 micron and a range of sizes. Each grade is supplied on a roll format and can be applied quickly and easily, either by hand or with an applicator. The carpet protection film has a self adhesive backing, which holds the protective layer in place for up to five weeks. Eco-friendly and designed to hold the film secure with no wrinkling, it leaves no residue on the carpet when the film is removed. It is safe to walk on and is unbranded so is suitable for use in commercial, industrial and domestic environments.

During location filming at the United Grand Lodge in London’s Covent Garden, the production company filming The Muppetts… Again! movie called upon a premium hard floor protection product to safeguard the floors of the unique venue. The United Grand Lodge is the oldest Freemason’s Lodge in the world. The present building is the third on the site and was constructed in 1927, commemorating Freemasons who died during the war. It is thought to be one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in England and is a grade II listed building inside and out. To protect its valuable floors during filming, premier self-adhesive fleece was applied directly to the surface of the floor.

Also used by The Alan Partridge Movie crew, Trio Plus premium temporary hard floor protector is ideal for protecting from dirt and dust. Just like the carpet protector it provides a barrier between the floor and mud, dirty shoes or liquid spills. The floor protection fleece consists of a felt topside and polythene backing, absorbing spillages like a sponge and preventing fluids penetrating. The material will not break up and is easy to sweep clean. It is supplied with a self-adhesive which sticks the fleece tight for up to 45 days or until removed.

Temporary Floor Protection Not Just For Dry Land As TrioPlus Secures Number of Boat Orders

While temporary floor and carpet protection may be something typically associate with dry land, experts Trio Plus are bucking the trend with a series of new business wins on the high seas.

The Surrey-based firm has recently taken a number of orders to supply a selection of its temporary floor protection products to a number of different boats and shipping companies. Among them is a Highlands cruise ship, which takes passengers on a picturesque journey through Scotland’s waterways and Highlands. Its crew placed a varied order for Trio Plus products, helping to protect the interior of the boat during winter maintenance. Built in 1988, the boat offers 54 berths, all traditionally and tastefully decorated. With carpeting throughout, temporary carpet protector helped to protect the floor from stains and spills of building materials and mess from contractors during its annual works.

The capital’s leading River Bus provider also finds temporary floor protection products to be essential to operations through the winter and summer seasons. Used by commuters and sightseers to get around the city, river buses are a familiar site on London’s famous river. A regular order of 100 micron super heavy duty carpet protection film helps to keep the passenger boats moving.

Supplied in a roll format, the heavy duty film protects expanses of carpet from almost anything you can throw at it – making it perfect for use in public areas where stained carpets and flooring ruined by paint, spillages, dirt or even builders rubble is unacceptable. Super heavy duty carpet protection by Trio Plus can be used on very thick carpets and carpets where high heels frequently tread, as the extra thickness will help to protect against punctures and maintain protection levels. As the film is not printed with branding, it can disappear from view once applied, making it a perfect fit for corporate, professional and public spaces.

An all inclusive, luxury hotel barging company also makes use of heavy duty carpet protection from TrioPlus. Its barges are designed as floating hotels , providing holiday makers with a relaxing way to travel throughout Europe. Helping it to maintain its standards of comfort and quality, heavy duty temporary carpet protection ensures the flooring inside the barge can be protected on the go and during routine maintenance work. Supplied on rolls, the heavy duty carpet protector is easy to transport, easy to apply and can be reused when removed.

In addition to being invaluable for maintenance works, TrioPlus temporary floor protectors are often called into service during more extensive ship refits.  A consignment of 3000m2 carpet protection film has recently been sent to Dubai to protect an expanse of carpeted flooring during a refit, while other carpet protection products are also kept at hand by a number of brokers for their ship refits.

Similarly popular with event and TV crews, the standard hard floor protection fleece gives unbeatable protection against dust, dirt and impact for wooden and other hard floors. Also suitable for residential, commercial and industrial environments, the temporary floor protector can be purchased in standard or heavy duty grades. The standard fleece is suitable for wooden floors, tiles and laminate flooring, acting as a barrier against spills, dirt, liquids, mess and heavy objects.
