A stunning ancient manor on the banks of the River Thames recently underwent a large refurbishment. The magnificent manor of Bampton village has been recorded as a royal settlement as early as the 8th century and has a rich history and legacy to preserve. Refurbishments and re-fits have taken place in the current manor house since the late 17th century but this project endeavoured to be much more careful and respectful of the building's history. Trio Plus, one of the UK's leading specialists in hard floor and carpet protection, contributed to the project by safeguarding the precious floors throughout the manor whilst the refurbishment went ahead.
The hard wood floor protectors provided by Trio Plus are excellent for use in both commercial and domestic situations, with their ability to soak up spillages like a sponge and to shelter the floors underneath from dirt or grime which may accumulate during the process of a refurbishment. With a layer of fleece and a polythene backing, it makes it almost impossible for harmful or damaging liquids to penetrate the floor protector. The material will not break up and is easy to sweep clean and maintain while it is in use.
The hard wood protection materials are all re-usable (although if you're working with carpet, the self-adhesive films are single use). The rolls issued by Trio Plus are also made from an anti-slip material, which is perfect for situations where there will be heavy footfall and lots of activity. The actual adhesive used to hold the protection product in place is both eco-friendly and water-based, to ensure that no residue is left behind (providing the users stick to the recommended usage time) and making them much safer than many other temporary hard floor protection products on the market. The recommended time for the products to be left in place varies between the many products which Trio Plus have on offer, but the basic advice is that 5 weeks is the maximum amount of time for the products to be used. Any longer than this would risk transfer of the adhesive.
Trio Plus' extensive carpet and floor protection range is perfect for such delicate projects where items of historical value are involved. The specific product used to refurbish the grand 18th-century manor house was the Trio Plus Fleece Hard Floor Protection. 750m² of the premium floor protection product was used in order to keep the floors of Bampton Manor looking their best after the refurbishment.
