Trio Plus, a leading
supplier of temporary floor protection products, has confirmed its silver screen credentials
with a slew of new orders from TV production companies. It has supplied a range
of floor protection products to a host of primetime shows currently filming on
location around the country.
Waterloo Road, an award-winning
British television drama series,
set in and around Waterloo Road, a fictional school for students, has purchased
three different products from Trio Plus for the protection of locations during
their shoots.
The first is Ram Board, a unique heavy duty temporary hard floor protection product
manufactured in the USA and available in the UK exclusively from Trio Plus.
Having undergone tests in the toughest of environments, Ram Board has proven to
offer an impenetrable defence, making it the solution of choice for new, old
and valuable floors. Supplied in rolls, Ram Board is quick and easy to apply
and remains flat and true when inplace. Unlike
many hard floor protection products, Ram Board is vapour permeable, which means
it can be used to protect floors that have just been laid.
The second product ordered by the
Waterloo Road film crew is Premium Fleece. This hard floor protector is reliable,
non-slip, durable and hard wearing. It won’t disintegrate in the face of
moisture or heavy foot traffic making it easy to sweep clean and safe to use in
public areas. The fleece easily absorbs spillages thanks to its polythene backing
which locks fluids to prevent moisture seeping through to the floor beneath.
The final product purchased for
Waterloo Road is Trio Plus’ Tacky Mats. This floor protection product works by
capturing dust and dirt particles from foot traffic passing over its adhesive
surface. The dirt from the soles of shoes sticks to the surface of the mat keeping
the area beyond clean and dirt free. After it has been walked over a number of
times, the exposed mat will become non-sticky. Tac mats consist of 30 layers so
once full, the non-sticky layer can be easily peeled off using the numbered
tab, revealing a fresh new adhesive surface underneath to be used.
The BBC
afternoon drama, Doctors which is based on the lives of staff and patients, has
also purchased floor protection from Trio Plus. The team, opted for Correx to protect large areas of hard floors quickly and
efficiently. Having replaced traditional
materials like plywood and hardboard, Correx is now the industry standard and
is favoured for its lightweight structure. Correx is an efficient floor protection solution which is highly versatile and can
be used either in sheet form for surface protection or converted into cases,
boxes, sleeves and trays.
